I'm not a huge fan of Microsoft, but the part about "they did point to existing cooperative efforts involving wireless cameras and raw image formats" sounds good to me. I hope this won't make me (a Mac user that uses Windows at work) in the wrong crowd and out of the loop in the future.

I suspect this has a lot more to do with Microsoft's JPEG format which integrates a lot of RAW design into it. I talked to one of the heads of Microsoft's Research groups this year and even I'm impressed by it all.

Haha, imagine that, a BSOD on the LCD of a Nikon camera!

Actually that wouldn't be funny

NOOOOO!!!!!! Maybe I will have to switch to a film Nikon permantnently in that case and spend some money on a really good film scanner. Stupid MicroShit!! Maybe i should get the D700/D3 now if BSOD on the D800/D4 is a possibility.

My upgrade timetable atm is aim for the D900/D5 series to go to FX or D500 for DX and keep my D300 until then. (that is if the current naming conventions are kept)
