Excellent, thanks for the link.

And it's only 270K app size - amazing.

Looks good - if only there was a batch utility. i.e. so when you download the raw images from the card kick off a batch utility to do the conversion. It is also annoying that you can't get it to put the .jpg into the same directory as the .nef.

One also wonders why if this mob can extract the JPEG from the raw file, why Adobe couldn't do the same and then use that to work out what processing to apply to the raw file so that by default it looks the same as the embedded JPEG. Even if that's not what you want, it is a much better starting point than what Lightroom gives you now.

There is, have a look at the video link above. It is also very quick, still cant believe it is so small.

It is not documented in the manual and I can't see anywhere on the desktop or elsewhere to invoke it. The only thing installed on my workstation is InstantJPEGFromRAWExt.dll

OK, I have viewed the video. Yes, it does let you select multiple files to extract from, but that's not what I meant by batch. I would like to be able to set up an automation as part of my process of transferring the files so that I end up with something similar to what I have now shooting raw+JPEG. Selecting files and clicking is non trivial.
