There are also a few subsequent meets there too I think.

Geoff

As a latecomer I enjoyed the nostalgia trip. The shot of louiek makes me want that lens. And I'm compelled to comment on the nice soft focus hollywood star treatment you gave Glen in this photo

We specially smeared the lens just where I was with vaseline, the whole shot was way too sharp for an old bloke like me

It's funny Stubbsy, just after Geoff posted I sent him a PM commenting on those two shots. Also pointed out that it took about 500 shots for me to realise my nose was hitting the multi switch and moving the chosen focus sensor    Also commented how much better we are all getting (excluding those guys who were already good, wish I was one of them)

Great nostalgic trip back in time - thanks for bringing back the memories Geoff. Even though I was one of the early joiners, I wasn't able to attend that first inaugural meet due to distance limitations - IIRC I had left for NY just days earlier. Once again, I find myself facing the same situation with the current flourish of interesting meets and forum activities!

I guess I'm relegated to be the token "there in spirit" member. Gosh, I just realised that sounded kinda morbid... :?
