Sticky lens

Postby hedge on Wed Mar 09, 2005 12:00 pm

Heya all,

Been using my kit lens in some pretty dusty places and its sticking in a very annoying way! The focus ring works fine but the zoom ring is not happy. Still works but you have to give it a bit of a wrench. Anyone else had this problem yet? Got any rough prices on a lens overhaul/clean? I can see it taking a trip to Maxwells sometime soon if there isn't anything i can do to clean it.

cheers,

adam

Unless you feel competent opening up your lens and voiding your warranty, go the Maxwell route.
