Hi Guys,

I'm asking for people's thoughts and experiences on either the Canon iX4000 and Epson R1390 as I'm in the market for a good quality A3 sized photo printer.

I know that there is the Epson R1900, the Canon P9500 and HP 8850 as well but they are all a little over my budget so I'm keen to see what you guys thing around the lower end models.

Thanks in advance,
eyecee

See if you can get your hands on an Epson 1160.....second hand for around $250. They make damn fine A3 photographic prints.

what an offer tommy ...as long as repairs arent too much it sounds like a no brainer to a no-brainer like me!!

Check out http://reviews.cnet.com/inkjet-printers/epson-stylus-pro-3800/4505-3156_7-32082353.html for a review.

I still use a very old bottom end A4 (C63) but are looking to purchase a low end A3 as well....may send a pm to inmotion I think!

good luck with it and maybe see you tomorrow night!

Will go and get it this weekend then - my dad bought it for his architecture work, but ended getting a $25k plotter/printer instead. Hasn't been used for a year or 2, but hopefully has the inks still filled.

Cathy should be there tomorrow night, but I'm in Perth on work and don't fly back in to Adelaide til 9pm so will have to wait until next week.

Enjoy - hopefully the cats are out and being playful!
