Nikon Capture update 4.2.1

One of the problems fixed:
"When a large number of images were processed using Batch processing, Nikon Capture sometime quit unexpectedly or the computer froze. This problem has been corrected."

I notice no mention of a problem I have had a couple of times when batch processing a large number of images, when converting NEF -> JPG occasionally one image will have the colour thrown right off, the output image in a recent one was extremely magenta, as if the green channel vanished completely.
That was using ver 4.1.something though, so maybe it was fixed in 4.2.
I deleted the image then just converted it as a single image, and the output was fine.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Gordon,
What size of RAM do you have in your system?

Gordon, I converted a couple of batches (7-10 NEFs each) last night with the latest NC (4.2.1) and had no problems. I'm not surprised you had problems with it though, batch conversion with NC was and may still be reasonably buggy and an extreme memory hog!

I was doing a batch of something like 60 NEF -> JPG images at the time.

I've tried downloading the 4.2.1 update a couple of times, but it always fails due to my exceedingly crappy connection here, one of the problems of living way out of town. At least the end is nigh for my dialup connection, apparently I just have to spend a couple of thousand dollars on radio receivers and antennae and I can have wireless broadband.
