Picture frames or framer in Melbourne??

Postby kab on Mon Jun 01, 2009 2:39 pm

G'day Guys,

I'm after a few contemporary/generic picture frames and was wondering if anyone can recommend where I can purchase pre-made picture frames, or got to a competent, reasonably priced framer in Melbourne??

A fundamental requirement is the ability to easily attach and detach different photo's to the matboards and swap out my work. I would also want the ability to hang the frames in both landscape and portrait orientations.

I would like to purchase 4 picture frames in approximately an A1 size, so that that the biggest print I can mount is a 20x30". I would also want 12 bevelled mattboards in various sizes for these frames. I'd like black picture frames as they are fairly generic and look good with the majority of work. The frames need to be fairly wide and deep, ie. Approximately 24mm wide and 40mm deep. I'd probably want to use non-glare glass, as I will be lighting them with downlights in the ceiling. There will be no direct sunlight hitting the frames.

As always, any recommendations will be appreciated....

Till next time…
Cheers
Keith
