Cheap Backdrops, Props , Bits & Bobs

Postby Sandy Feet on Sat Jun 20, 2009 7:35 pm

Hi Guys,

I haven't been around for a while but thought I would pass this on, I visited this place today that had part rolls of material, vinyl, sheets of perspex, sheets of polystyrene foam, Foam core, cheap maniquins and lots of other stuff that could be used as props, backdrops or subjects for photography.

It's at Marrikville in Sydney and is quite an interesting place to wander around it's called reverse garbage and the website is below
http://www.reversegarbage.org.au

Hope some of you find this place useful
Cheers

If this is anything like Revolve in Canberra, it will be a bargain hunters paradise.

A bit too far for me though. It would have to be an extreme bargain to make the fuel cost worthwhile.

aaah reverse garbage!

i love that place, up until recently i lived on the same street. in the same complex is a place called the bower, which is full of second hand furniture and the like.

from reverse garbage i have picked up bargains like lots of foam core and matte material ($2-10), and a 3m X 15m roll of black/white seamless ($10)

i also recommend them for offcuts of moldings for frames, and all sorts of things like that.
