In a moment of extreme madness, I have signed myself up for Dry July - an event which aims to raise money for cancer charities... I am committing to abstain from alcohol for the WHOLE of July... For some of you this may seem normal, for others slightly more of a challenge... I know times are tough, but PLEASE sponsor me and donate enough to make me guilty enough... DONATE SOMETHING... ANYTHING... EVEN IF IT'S ONLY THE SPARE CHANGE FROM YOUR POCKET... Better still, sign yourself up too and help raise even more money... CLICK HERE TO DONATE...OMG... What have I done

Good on you leek. A great cause and one I'll try and support, but won't ever participate in as my birthday is in July!!!
Cheers

Happy to see you're doing that for a good cause Leek! I should do that too - it would be good for my own health and also help cancer research/sufferers! leek wrote:OMG... What have I done
You're doing a good thing! There's no alcohol in Lite beer right? wait or was that root beer? or was it beet root? no beer for a month??? we're both rooted! nooooooooo! Bumpity Bumpity Bump... to the top of the list... I'm gonna keep on nagging for a few days yet The Short Story: I am pledging to be alcohol free for July in return for your donations, which will raise money for cancer charities... Anyone who knows me well would know what a tough challenge that might be... Please donate anything you can to support my efforts... Even a couple of $$s will help... You can donate in stealth mode if you want, and still get a receipt for tax purposes... CLICK HERE TO DONATE...I'm already halfway up the leaderboard - nudge me ever upward

While I don't seem to have received any donations from this forum YET (I'm sure they're coming ), I've still managed to make it to #4 position on the Dry July leader board and have raised $545 so far... Please donate whatever you can to nudge me towards the #1 spot... C'mon.... Even $2 is fine - it all adds up... I'd rather that you donated $2 than ignore me CLICK HERE TO DONATEPretty Please...

John, Are donations tax deductible, I've been meaning to make a donation but thought I'd clarify the point. Cheers, Craig

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductable.....I just made a donation!! I have been holding off due to a greatly reduced income over the last few weeks but I have done it anyway now in case I forget.

I have recevied great support from this forum in previous charitable fund raising (Shave for a Cure & Movember), so I have given a little back. Good luck with it.
