Nikkor 105 Question

Postby Greg B on Fri Mar 18, 2005 8:37 am

Hi folks

My lens has arrived, and I can't wait to use it (I'm in Sydney, camera in Melb, going home tonight)

Just a simple question regarding the lens hood. What do other 105 owners do? Have you lashed out and got the Nikon hard hood (How much?) or one of those screw in rubber jobs?

I don't imagine there would be vignetting issues with a 105, but any feedback would be welcomed.

cheers

I dont bother with a lens hood with my 105, since its essentially already got one with the recessed front element., and adding more wouldnt give any more protection from stray light in most situations. However, it would get in the way of the built in flash for close subjects.

Enjoy the lens!
