For those who sell stuff.

And for those who buy stuff.

And for those who ship stuff.

Oz Post will no longer ship by air packages containing lithium batteries.

That’s about right! Blow up trucks, blow up ships, blow up cars, in fact blow up anything EXCEPT planes. Makes total sense to me :)

It shouldn't. There's no way they would know there's an Li-ion battery inside.

Don't be too sure: From the article above...
Air carriers scan mail for dangerous goods, and any packages containing lithium batteries will be rejected.

It seems AP is simply responding to what the carriers are doing.

But Cameron, it will probably come into the country in Sydney. So AP would only be using surface transport anyway. Of course if my guess is right, it may be SHIPped from Point of Origin.

Ridiculous knee-jerk reaction. It's only SONY manufactured batteries that should be banned.

After watching Generation Kill I would hazzard a guess and say that the Marine Corp have bought all of the Sony batteries

How did you like Generation Kill? I found it interesting that it was directed by a woman. Her eye for detail was very acute.

I have always believed that women give more attention to detail. A beautiful home is normally created by a women unless, of course, you are of the hand bending male genre.

I would place Generation Kill in the same category as Band of Brothers and raise my hat to HBO :)
