Hi,
while the forum has discussed rights at length I found these sites worth the read ..the first, while British, I thought gave some good general tips (especially as I have been a bit shy to do street shots)
http://digital-photography-school.com/i ... confidence

The second while NSWcentric does contain the links to the remaining States and some OS at the bottom

Some good points there but I do prefer to wear my T-shirt saying “I am a terrorist who just loves photography” and always remember to carry your H&K MP7 :D

The real question is: what lens would a terrorist use?

Presumably they mostly shoot architecture, so a tilt-shift lens would be most suitable. Some of those have good macro capabilities as well, so they could double up for illicit blueprint photography. Obviously the solution is to round up all the TS users, and ship them off somewhere. And those beret-wearing view camera users as well. Anyone putting that much time into a shot must have an ulterior motive

I had one of these a few years ago, glad I sold it now. Imagine using that in Rundle Mall.

Or for shooting oncoming traffic - especially if you were wearing a green fluoro vest and blue cap.
