Wedding second shooter / assistant required

Postby W00DY on Mon Sep 07, 2009 8:13 pm

Hi All,

It's been ages since I have had the time to log on and check out the forum. Hopefully nothing has changed and it is still a wealth of knowledge with amazing photographers!

I am looking for someone that wants to second shoot / assist at weddings. You don't necessarily have to have a lot of experience at wedding photography but you do need to know how a wedding flows and have so much enthusiasm it is infectious :) Ideally you would have assisted at a few weddings. Short to mid term I would like you to be able to shoot part of the wedding (groom prep) alone.

You will need the following:
- Professional equipment, preferably Nikon but it doesn't really matter (just makes post so much easier).
- An awesome mature attitude and be great with people.
- A desire to learn
- A great eye for details. This is imperative for a second shooter.
- Be presentable

You can check out my blogsite at http://www.follanphotography.com.au/ and if you feel like you would like to apply please send an email to me on andrew@follanphotographycom.au listing your equipment, a quick note on your experience and about 20 images for me to view (preferably from weddings, otherwise people photography) or a link to were I can view your work online.

Feel free to ask any questions either by email, or via the forum. Thanks to Gary for letting me post this here.

Cheers,
Andrew

Nobody? - Bummer.

If you don't have a lot of experience at weddings don't worry, it is more you have a great eye, enthusiastic, presentable, good with people etc...

I know it sounds funny, but I would personally love to find someone from the forum as the forum has been so helpful in my development it is not funny. I was given my chance (thanks Dan) from here so I guess this is my chance to try and give back.

:)
