A friend of mine has the above camera and has bent some of the pins that connect to the CF card. Has anyone on the forum had this problem and had it repaired? Any idea of the cost? Thanks.

Matt,
I've seen this happen on a 300D, and it was not a pretty sight. The pins on that camera were very brittle, and any attempt to try to straighten the bent one resulted in it being broken.
My suspicion is that to fix this the assembly into which the pins are mounted will need to be replaced. While the repair job's cost won't be a phone number, it will extend to several significant digits.

I had a 350D that got a bent pin, I straightened it OK.
but it never worked again, kept getting a CF card error, so I sold it for parts..

From the times I have seen it go off for repair...it is expensive (a few hundred) but if possible I would shop around for a quote (look for places that have free quotations)

One of my students has a 50D which is currently being repaired for this, and I'm told it should be back next week. So I can tell you then how much it cost...
How did it happen to the 50D? Apparently their crappy USB CF reader damaged the pin holes in a card, which then got stuck on a pin in the camera and mangled it. Hint to young players: don't use CF readers with shallow slots. It's too easy to damage your cards (let alone the reader itself).
