Fujifilm S9500 Problems anyone?Hey guys,
I've recently had the pleasure of serving a gentleman while I was working at Macarthur Camera House, who I gave some rough description on how broken his camera was. After settling that it would be best for him to purchase a new camera, I lead him towards a Fujifilm S2000HD ( similar to a Nikon P90 in accordance to cosmetics). Now this thing, as Aim54x has claimed, is a dead breed of a fine line of Semi Digital SLR's. The customer who was happy enough to take the new camera, decided he didn't want his "hunk O' junk" Fujifilm Finepix S9500. Now yes, it is a SEMI dslr, in cosmetics, not sure about the sensor and what not, haven't really researched this camera as much as I should have, but I do want a fix for it, feels like a camera you wouldnt find these days, especially with the new age coming. My Problem : I want to fix it. That's the main problem. I believe that there is something up within the circuitry of the S9500, yet i can't get my grip on things! it turns off constantly, and its only when i move the camera tilting and shifting that it decides to go "DEATH." although noting that whenever you turn it off and on again on the flick switch it actually turns on, and if you leave it sitting happily, the lazy bugger will stay on sipping on your lithium filled AA batteries, and it takes photos!!! =D The other Problem : the dial thingy that i assume changes shutterspeed and aperture seems to have gone bust. If anyone's got a solution, or can guide me towards a GOOD repairer, much would be appreciated, although, i prefer the DIY path, so anyone who can give us a hand on what to do is better still =) Cheers! Sounds almost like a mechanical problem rather than electronic? I am sure the experts will have some views.
