Photo's from Eastbound Trip - SA, VIC, NSW, ACT

Postby darb on Mon Mar 21, 2005 4:09 pm

It was very weird seeing hotham, thredbo, perisher etc green with no snow !

Some of the drives were awesome, the Omeo highway and alpine way from khancoban ... slow going but awfully fun !

If anyone has corrections to my captions etc pls let me know.

Cheers.

Brad, you're very fortunate to have seen so much of the East Coast. Some of us live there and haven't gotten to enjoy nearly half as much as you have!

You've captured the moments and produced some spectacular images. I hope they serve as a reminder to the good times you've had on your trip.

thanks for the comments people ... i'll be sure to let the gf know everyone loves them as i think it was wearing a bit thin each time i came to a screeching halt, dived out the car with tripod and camera and ran off up some hill to capture a frame.

darb,

Well done with your slide show of shots while on holidays.

With this shot, it looks like you used a ND filter, yes/no :?:

yep ... well pseudo ND ... had a Circular Polariser on (as i always do.) .. and a cokin grad ND which i pulled right down so that it was effectively a full grad ND.

actually,l with that particular shot, im not so sure ... might have been dark enough / late enough in the afternoon that i just used the CPL and F22 @ 8 seconds ... it was very late in the day.

The other waterfall shots that are in the middle of the day, i definately used a CPL + ND (grad ND positioned as a full ND.) and a narrow aperture.

Hi Darb,
Glad you liked Vic... there's a heap of great places to see along the Great Ocean Road! 8)
Was just wondering the location of that second pic? Nice beach!
