Polaroid image archive going up for auctionhttp://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... pad&f=1008
More than 1,000 photographs from the Polaroid collection are being auctioned at Sotheby's in New York City as part of Polaroid's bankruptcy court order. The auction includes images by legendary artists and photographers, including Ansel Adams, going back to the 1940s. Some artists are upset that the collection is being auctioned off, believing that they only lent their work to Polaroid. This is a most interesting article, well worth reading, and represents a sad day in the history of photography, the final days of Polaroid. g.

Re: Polaroid image archive going up for auctionIt is a sad to hear that they will auction off work that does not belong to Polaroid if it truly is the case that some of it was on loan from the artist.

Re: Polaroid image archive going up for auction
I'm surprised its lasted this long, I would have thought that digital was more of a direct replacement to polaroid then negative film. __________
