Images for Large format Prints

I've been asked to ask around for image files that can be printed @ 6.5m accross. This is for an architect friend of mine whose client is looking to purchase some images that suit large prints without pixelating.

I've informed him that there are applications that are able to enlarge image files without the pixelation or degrading in quality. However, it's the large format the client is looking for.

Landscape, nature, sunsets, abstracts, artistic.......something suitable for the general public display. I'll probably get more info on this.

Any of you able to provide some details/help on this? LEt me know while I try to get some info/requirements from my friend.

Suitable for 6.5m across
High res @ 300dpi

Example on iStock would be the XXX-Large size with minimum around 40mb file size.

Thanks

Hi Allen

6.5m is very large.

I have some images that might be suitable.

I have lighthouse images from 1987 when I went around Australia photographing for the history of Australian lighthouses "From Dusk till Dawn". I have 95 images scanned from 5x4 transparencies using a Microtek 1800F scanner, though most I have not processed as yet. I have artistic rights for these images but not commercial rights, so they cannot be used to promote a product.

I also have some images taken more recently on a 6x17 panorama camera. For example, there are some in this thread. These were scanned on a Canon 9950F scanner, which is almost as good as the current model Epson V700, but for this purpose it would be better if I were to get them rescanned on an Imacon scanner and re-process them.

The third image in this thread might also be suitable because it is a blended panorama. There are some HDR artifacts in this image that I will go back and correct fairly soon.
