How do I do a self portrait? I have a self portrait due on Monday for my art class and I don't know how to do it. The class is Figure Drawing and everything we do is charcoal. If you have any websites or videos or just tips throw them at me.

Using a camera? Use the self timer to fire the shutter. Put the camera onto a tripod or some other stable platform. Pre-focus the lens using the manual setting. Press the shutter and run around the front of the camera. Smile. Do again and again until satisfied.

I assume in charcoals. as that is the medium you say is used in class.
Either take a photo as per MattK's suggestion, then use that as the basis for your sketch, or simply look in a mirror & draw from life. Use two mirrors if you want to eliminate the left - right reversal.
Charcoal is a very loose medium. Use simple lines & try to capture the "essence" rather than try for detail.
As you will be travelling with it, spray with a workable fixative so it doesn't smudge in transit.
