Some days you're the insect

Postby petermmc on Thu Sep 23, 2010 9:20 pm

Some days you're the insect and somedays you're the wind screen.

This evening my daughter and son (twins) had their yr 12 formal. Naturally at some house near Wollongong Hospital we gathered to take photos of a seriously long limo with all the young men and women frocked up. To cut a long story short, I took my camera to the next part of the event in my car and drove for about half an hour only to realise that I had left my camera bag with 14-24 on the brick wall near the house, near the hospital. Some days you're the insect.

I rang my daughter who was in the limo and she didnt know about it. One of the boys in the car was the son of the owner of the house. He rang his parents who knew some other people who had collected my bag which I picked up at a Hotel where the formal was held. Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!! is all I have to say. Some days you're the wind screen.

Lesson learnt: Remember what you take with you, don't get too excited by the moment, and never say (or even think) disparaging comments about the tiny camera the guy next to you has in case you leave your 14-24 behind and he is the one who rescues it.

Regards
