Anyone else had the Maha C9000 transformer die?

I leant my C9000 to one of the guys at work...and he has been giving it a real workout reconditioning a whole bunch of batteries but earlier in the week it died....some isolation testing (with the recently ordered C9000 from Protog - we are looking to stock them) identifies the transformer has deceased.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Had no problems with mine. Works flawlessly. Perhaps he put some very dead batteries in and the unit shorted and popped? Is it possible to get it repaired and could you keep us informed of the outcome?

It's certainly not a common occurrence as far as I know (and I frequent some seriously nerdy forums). In fact, I think this is the first I've heard of. I've been using mine since the first batch came to Au (I pre-ordered from Servaas) so I've been acquainted with them for a fair while, just by way of background.

Cheers
