3rd & final photobook done

Well next Saturday it's 12 months since Craig (Alpha_7) and I returned from 6 weeks travel to South America, The Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica. And I've finally completed the 3rd and final book of photo's from the trip. So far I've received back books 1 & 2 covering the Antarctica leg of the trip. This third book is images from Argentina (and a side trip into Chile) and at 100 near A3 size pages it's the largest of the three. To see a book click it's image below.

Congrats on getting it all done! I will have to wait until the eBook version becomes available. Otherwise it will be a trip up to visit you to see the books in their printed glory!

Hey Peter,

As I said on FBook, amazing work especially the last book. Makes my one 60 page book look like I wasn't trying hard enough :) - Seriously you've captured the trip in great detail and with your typical Stubbsy style, well done. It's kind of depressing it was already a year ago, but the books will be a lasting memento of the adventure.

It really gives me the shits to tell you this, but your last book is supurb and deserves to be published more widely. The photography is sensitive and of a very high artisitic order. You can be justifiably proud of your achievement. Now let's not mention this again.

I'm not worthy!

Peter, you should be very proud of the amazing job you have done. WOW!

The books look brilliant, despite the really poor user interface provided by MyPublisher.

Congratulations! All of them are magnificent publications.
You will need to plan long and hard to improve on these.

Damn you, Peter.

After looking through your books (online) I thought that maybe I could make a book from the photos from my recent trip to Borneo. I looked through my photos and I realise that my book would at best be a booklet and more likely a pamphlet as I have so few book "worthy" photos compared to yours.

I think I hate you now. :violin:

Peter, your attention to detail is what makes this book, aside from the great photos, the layout, commentary and maps really take this to another level.

3 thumbs up.

 You should put this on ya CV Peter. Pro quality work. I reckon the tour companies may buy a few copies off you for a premium...

Thank you all for your comments. Despite the amount of time this took I'm more than happy with the finished product.

A few comments:
Andrew - the mypublisher software sucks indeed. For ones where I wanted fancy borders (eg the title pages in my Argentina book) I just did a single composited image (frame label etc) the size of a full page usinf another product then brought it into MyPublisher. I also think you'd have enough to do a book from your Borneo trip. You really only need around 40 images or so.

Gerry - I didn't want a book of just photos. I think some narrative gives more on return viewings. Took a but longer to do the research though ;-)

As for selling the books. I trully belive they are good enough, but the reality is in the run sizes needed the prices are just too high. The average is around $120 per book and that is WITH a 70% discount coupon.

For those who want to see the quality I'll be bringing books 1 and 2 (and hopefully #3) to our get Sydney together on 10/12
