Well I'm about to pickup my Gitzo G1325 and just wondered does it require any assembly? If so what tools are required or does it come with a set of tools for construction?

  What you need is a full set of spanner and hex key, tools are extra cost and you should order them at the first place  8)

You're enjoyed!

The only skill that you shall require is opening a cardboard box.

Birddog, I have all of those tools but they're at work (where I'm collecting the tripod from), and when I go to collect it I don't want to open the box to check any instructions (don't want bits to fall out). So if any tools are required I need to know now so I can collect them along with the tripod.

Hey kipper,
As huynhie mentioned, the only skill required is to open the carton and use your arm to swing the legs out as you have done many times in your life haven't you?

My 1325 arrived yesterday ( :D ) - assembled in box, with one small hex tool included. Now just have to wait for the ballhead etc...

I can't see that you'll need anything. Enjoy !

The legs will also require "calibration" to ensure that it is level on all types of terrain. This should be done on an annual basis by your Gitzo distributer.

Kipper, I believe Birddog has arranged for a spanner to be included free of charge with your Gitzo. Nothing further required  Hope you like it

Too many instructions and too many peices for such a feeble mind like mine to cope with. I had to get a technician in to assemble!
