Well, after 7 years and 21 days of faithful service my D70 has been replaced with the spectacular D7000 and 18-105 VR lens.
The D70 will be staying in the family though....my younger sister is super excited about getting her 1st dSLR camera (my old D70 with 18-70 kit lens).
Now all I need to do is get my head around the million and one functions of the D7000 and I'll be right.
I knew every function on the D70 so it's a weird feeling trying to locate settings - but I'll get there!
I have only had a short amount of time to play with the new toy and so far I am blown away. It's like I've not been using a real dSLR before...
So I'd like to formally thank my trusty D70 for the many years of trouble-free service it has given me (and my family) and I look forward to it's big brother doing the same for years to come.
For all those that have replaced their trusty, ageing cameras for newer models let us have 10 seconds silence to remember those that have given so much and asked so little!
Dave
