VR & monopod

Postby lightning on Sat Feb 25, 2012 11:51 pm

If using a 70 200 vr2 with a monopod would you turn off vr? I know you do when using tripod but noticed while using monopod I still seemed to move about a bit (well the wife actually as the lens is quite heavy for her) Thanks

The early VRs needed to be turned off when on a tripod. The new ones claim to sense a tripod & can be left on according to the publicity. Either are best left on with a monopod. To be sure, do a test & see what works well for you.
