Comparison time - which is which

From a discussion a few weeks ago, I decided to take a few shots using both digital and film. Granted it's not the most scientific or the most accurate since all images have been resized and compressed a lot from the original.

Below are a few photos for comparison. Pretty sure I've stripped the EXIF data from each image so no cheating :)

The film I used was Kodak 400 Tri-X and all conversions were made to mimic Tri-X.

a bit unfair since your digital stuff probably emulates film stuff pretty closely.

It's pretty tough to call from such small examples but my guess would be:

I would be guessing so there's no point me answering really. the only one I would say I'd be relatively confident on is that #2 would be digital. I'd be more interested in some test shots of the same subjects in the same conditions.

Sorry haven't had the time to do much over the past week or so.

Only number 5 and 6 were film, the rest were digital.

As requested, the following are from the same camera, subject and conditions but different mediums and formats (6x6 vs 645).

I think you are proving the point loud
and clear. A good photograph is a good
photograph irrespective of the media.
Where the difference may become more
obvious is comparing the prints.
