EOI: Star Trails in the City - Sat 19/5...
Posted: Mon Apr 30, 2012 12:12 pm
It's early days yet but I was thinking of trying a star trails session here in Sydney with the city as the backdrop (yes light pollution and all )
Current target date is Sat 19th May
Moonset is 3:45PM (two days before new moon anyway)
Sunset is 5PM
I was thinking of Balls Head Reserve - it's close, on the harbour and relatively dark itself. It has good high views of the city skyline and I reckon the centre of the pole should be somewhere around Pyrmont/Anzac Bridge
I'm thinking we setup compositions from around 4:30, take sunset/twilight images from 5 to 5:30 and then start the trails exposures from around 5:45-6PM - 3 or 4 hours worth takes us to 10PM
