Smugmug... New RSS feed???

Postby leek on Sat Apr 02, 2005 12:32 am

Hi all smugmuggers...

I just noticed that smugmug seems to be introducing an RSS feed on your personal gallery (feeding people your latest pics / comments etc.)

It doesn't seem to work for my RSS feeder yet, but I'm sure it will soon...

If you are an RSS user, could you please add this link to your RSS feed to see if it works at all???

If you are a smugmugger, let me know if it works for you in any way...
Cheers, John

John,
Just so I can display my IT ignorance, what is RSS? Is it the opposite to RRS (Really Rights Stuff)?

Hi Glen,

RSS is a protocol that is used for news feeds on the web... Many websites (including the D70Users forum) now provide these RSS feeds, allowing you to keep up to date with the latest entries without necessarily looking at the web site...

If you see Image or Image on a website then that is the link to connect your newsreader to... You configure your newsreader to poll the website at a defined frequency capturing any new entries...

If you want to try it out (and you really should...), download Feedreader and have a play with it... I find it the only way I can keep up with D70Users now... If you need any help, let me know...
Cheers, John
