Thanks Rodney

Good read. One thing I find myself doing is lusting after different techniques or processes such as wet darkroom, maybe one day collodion, etc. and different formats without actually mastering any one. I collect and shoot the 'pro' Nikon 35s (F, F2, F3 thus far) and think the neg are is too small; fall in love with the larger but still portable 6x4.5 medium format, well, format and find that it hits a sweet spot; see that first and subsequent 4x5" neg hanging up, with great density and resolution and scoff at 35mm but find I am itching for the opportunity to actually shoot the damn thing (meaning lugging it around somehow and somewhere) but finding that opportunity rare and realising that the little 35mm F with plain prism is a joy to use, albeit relying on me totally for calculating exposure.

What this all means to me is to take a deep breath, step backwards and any other pausing analogy and realise that each format has the proverbial time, place and beauty.

Given all that, I have probably taken about 100 shots on the D800 in the last month :biglaugh: What does that say? (Perhaps that Alicia is very defensive of her investment :D )
