Hi All,
My partner is looking to buy a small camera of sorts but as i dont know much about the small ones so i ask you for any information, about the $300 price. She already has a Nikon coolpix L22 but the battery door latch is stuffed.

Thanks for any replies.

For that money you can't beat the Canon powershots...S100 or S150. Solid reliable and very good image quality. IMO Canon make better point and shoots than Nikon.

x2 the powershots are just about unbeatable unless you stretch for a Sony rx100.

G'day John, long time no hear! :D

I can thoroughly recommend the Fuji X10. I have used one for my last two European trips. It is sensational. I have numerous 18x12 enlargements at home taken with this camera, and could go much larger if need be. Kogan has these for $339 at the moment, which is a steal.

Thanks Max,

I have been about mate and always come for a sticky every couple of days to see what and who is doing what, and all doing very well. Just since i have changed jobs driving a B double Log truck on perm nights as have been doing nights for 6 odd years now and being slack in the photo taking side of things. LOL I still take a few pics now and then, just don't post much up now days. Week ends come and down the river fishing on the boat or out riding motorbikes. But have bought a caravan so getting into the grey nomad scene, although i still hate getting stuck behind them. anyhow we going Warrnambool for couple of days next weekend get away and always take camera's.

Good to catch up.

No worries John, stay safe on the roads and watch out for the crazy drivers. I tip my hat to you driving B doubles. You must have nerves of steel with all the loony drivers out there.

I am considering selling my Fuji X10.

Np problems with it - quite the reverse, it's a great little camera.

I intend to move deeper into the Fuji range and can't justify keeping the X10 as well as my Nikon DSLR.

My X10 is about 18 months old, is in excellent condition and has only taken 1000 images.

Offers around $300 considered - includes a spare battery.

This is a Fuji X10 image:

WHOA! Didn't realise that the price had dropped so far! What a bargain! I would say that for the money you couldn't get a better camera. They came onto the market at $699!!! and yes....I had one. My son is now using it and loves it.

Well she bought a Canon Powershot SX280HS, seems to be a nice lil camera not that i have played with it as these are a bit out of my league. Wifi gps etc... No doubt she will work it out.
Thanks for the offer of the x10.

Cheers
