Has anyone used the D70 with a bellows? Is this pointless with better macro lenses or a cheaper way to snare really close shots.

I believe there is no problem using bellows with the D70. However, I read somewhere that you need to put an extension ring between the bellows and the camera. I can't think why so I will try a couple of shots today and let you know how it works.

I believe that there may be a spacing issue here; perhaps it also depends upon the bellows being used.

OK, I've jus taken a swag of pics with the PB6 Nikon bellows and it worked fine. There is one issue...the camera will only fit in vertical, (portrait) mode because the body hits the bellows in landscape mode and will not fit on. That's not really a problem, but if you fit an extension ring then that problem is solved. Also have to shoot in manual mode...keep adjusting the shutter speed until you get a good histgram. I used the remote to fire the camera. Hope this is useful.

I too would like to see some pics and know more about the setup you are using.

These 2 pics are very rough and ready and were taken only to check the rig. The first 1 is detail from a $10 note and the second from a watch face. I post them so that you can get an idea of the magnification possible...not because they are in anyway otherwise of merit.
