Creating history

Hi all,
This is my first post in the past few years. I still regularly keep an eye out on dslrusers and wish you all the best.
I found this remarkable. I am not sure why it has not gone blue so you might need to cut and paste it.

I am glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Just as a matter of interest, what kind of technique do you think he used ie lens & depth of field? I did notice how he used out of focus real houses in the background while he was taking a photo in the park and I thought that was very effective.
Any thoughts?
