On the way to Jazzfest

Postby gstark on Fri Apr 25, 2014 12:47 pm

It's that time of the year again. New Orleans Jazzfest beckons. The partying actually starts today - the first weekend - but for a change we're hitting NOLA for the second weekend, taking in a spot of LA and DC along the way in. Raligh and Miami/Key West on the way out will make this a good trip.

We're sitting in the Air NZ lounge, waiting for our flight to LAX. The lounge isn't as good as the Singapore one, right next door. Bit we've secured upgrades on our outbound flight, so we'll not be cattle class, at least for the first flight on this trip.

It's drizzly outside too, but we're warm and dry inside.

See all y'all soon - expect to see a minimeet once we're back.

Have a happy and safe flight and enjoy the events. Don't forget to visit Preservation Hall.

Thanks.

Flight was uneventful, which is good.

We're now safely ensconced in our hotel for the next couple of days, having caught with an old friend over a late, and very long, lunch
