the dual pixel thing looks neat, good for tweaking, but I do wonder how useful it really would be.

The presser for this came out on Thursday, and yes, it looks like it will be a nice improvement on what is already an exceptional camera.

The other interesting announcement from Thursday was of the new WiFi W-E1 adapter for the 7D Mk II (as well as a few other bodies) which comes in the form of a SD card. Available from November, it will be an in-the-box inclusion with new 7D Mk II purchases from some time in October.

Finally (for last Thursday's announcements) some new glass. EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM; and EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM
