Anyone using Pbase?

Postby Killakoala on Sun Oct 10, 2004 11:49 am

I'm not sure if it's my imagination, my computer or my internet connection, but for some reason or another it seems incredibly painful to up-load photos to this site.

I just created an account at this website and have tried to upload some photos to my newly created galleries, but some of the photos have required me to try several times to get them to upload. Eventually they did but it's annoying when it doesn't work first time everytime like it should. I mean it's not a difficult process to do it. BROWSE and UPLOAD IMAGE buttons are fairly easy to use.

Also when i have seen links to photos on Pbase from users in this forum and on the DPreview forum quite often the links are down and inaccessible.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm not sure if i want to part with any money to this website if it is not reliable, unless it's just me....

Koala,

I looked into PBase but decided to go for SmugMug (http://www.smugmug.com) have you tried that one???

I find it much better as you can modify your galleries a lot more.

Anyway check it out if you haven't already. Use the link at the bottom of my signature.

I have had a look at SmugMug and i've taken an instant liking to it. it's very nice and easy to use and also very professional. The uploading interface is so much better than Pbase.

Plus it has unlimited file space. Very nice indeed.

Thanks for pointing me to it.
