OT - Smugmug Help

Postby kipper on Tue May 03, 2005 7:52 pm

Hi, I've had a quick look in the Control Panel and Gallery Settings and wondered if it's possible to change the look and feel of smugmug from the default black background. I like to use black as my photo frame color and it looks kind of ordinary because the rest of the website is black anyway. It might not be possible to change, which is pretty poor as they seem to have a lot of the other stuff polished off quite nicely.

Up the top of the page, there's a setting to change colours :)

The red wine has hampered my AF system.

Thanks sheepie, you didn't need to go to the extent of circling it with red pen :)

Does that colour setting change it for everyone, or only for you???

I might be wrong, but I think to get full creative control, you need to upgrade to the Professional package...
Cheers, John

Probably should get around to writing my own system. However if this changes everyones view to white I'll be happy, for the time being.

John is correct.

To change the appearance for all users you need to upgrade to one of the dearer packages. The option on the screen is for each user to choose.

Edit: You don't need the pro package - only the power user package (US$49.95 pa)

$50, that's $75au to change my template to white....think I'll pass.

I pay for hosting as it is, so I might just setup my own.

Yes not worth it if the colour is all you want to change, but i will have to reveiw as i see the price is going up on smugmug for $125 to like $191 so yeh could put a damper on things maybe.
