LensBabies

Postby Charlie Chalk on Fri May 13, 2005 9:49 pm

Have any of you guys tried one of these http://www.lensbabies.com/ before?

They look very intersting, and quite cheap (for us anyway, the £ is very favourable against the $ for buying from the states at themo!).

Any thoughts?? would save loads of time in PS trying to get the same effect.

Charlie Chalk!
Won't help and won't work! I had and tried twice, finally gave up and gone.
Timbo, one of our member has it also.

Read about them before Charlie - would be interesting but IMO not very useful. I prefer PSCS :D

When lens lust gets taken to the next level, do you get lensbabies? :? Seriously though, I wonder whether most of the effects can't just be simulated in PP?

Interesting, and no doubt very challenging to use. It's the sort of pic that most people would use PS for these days, but I can understand some 'purists' wanting to do it the hard way.
I think I'd like to try them out, but don't think it's something I'd have in my kit too often - and therefore couldn't justify purchase just for the experimentation element.
Birdie - you have used these before? Do you still have them? Would like to try if someone does have some - perhaps at a minimeet one day :)
