I've seen some ads around this place for a new Sony Handycam with 3CMOS - previously 3 CCDs, it looks like they're fully into the CMOS thing now.

I have ahad a bit of experienec with a 3CCD panasonic which is brilliant, it's about 3 years old now, but still gives great quality video.

GS400 - the ultimate 3CCD camcorder (apparently). Of course it comes with a pricetag and list of accessories as long as the D70.

Panasonics video cams are reputed to have many manual features not found in other brands, and their low cost 3 CCD models promises far better image quality than the competition at a similar price point.
