Adobe camera Raw - how to get working

I am trying out Adobe Camera Raw. I downloaded the plug in and put it in the correct directory. Now when I open photoshop I can see the NEF images in the browser.

However when I open the images I don't get the ACR screen. I get a small light blue screen named RAW Adjustments then the file name. The buttons on it look suspiously like Nikon Capture. The only options are to change exp compensation and white balance, zoom in and rotate.

I have uninstalled nikon capture (or so I thought).

Can anyone help out with this? How do I get ACR to come up?

Nikon capture has taken over the raw files when you open them you have to remove it manualy easy on mac .....pc???

On Mac I removed any reference to nikon capture in PSCS and Applications and then did the same in library.......

hope this helps
