Hello everyone,

I have been lurking on this site for a little while now and am impressed with the standard of advice and especially photographs. I have my D70s coming in a few days and have been using the site as a resource for all things dSLR. First up and in tune with forum etiquite - Hello!

Now that the introductions are over with I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question. I am eager to understand how the aperture controls DOF, I know the effects and how to achieve them but I am looking for a bit of science to get it straight in my mind.

Finally I am especially pleased to see so many in the Sydney area, hopefully with a little bit of time I will be able to join in on some of the fun that seems to be going on in the NSW area. I know my girlfriend will be relieved to get away from the "bloody camera talk!"

Cheers,

Ed.

Do a Google search on PHOTOGRAPHY/CIRCLES OF CONFUSION
There is a ton of well written technical explanations that will enlighten you.
