Postby darb on Mon May 16, 2005 11:21 pm

im finding intermittently that the site does a time out / host not found ... hit refresh and its OK.

Anyone else experiencing problem? Could be any number of reasons for it ... but im not having any dramas to other parts of cyberspace... :(

Last last week, our provider seemed to go down on us for between 15-45 minutes.

I haven't seen any issues since then, but I'll raise it with Dad and if there are more problems, we'll talk to our provider about it.

no worries, they seem to be very quick drops, not extended periods ... ie, hit refresh and it immediately comes good.

Almost like DNS is timing out or something.

I'll do some monitoring here and see if i can get any info for you.

Happened just now 0924CST GMT+9.5
It has been doing this periodically - timing out or unable to resolve host over the last few days.

Cheers

smells like either the web server is hitting a connection limit of some sort (or just flat out not responding.) or DNS is having a drama

My guess will be DNS.

It seemed to be acting up last week.
