Query - camera body cap

Postby Geoff on Fri May 20, 2005 11:52 am

Anyone know where and how much the cap for the camera (where the lens normally goes) would be and if it has a model no. or such? I have mis placed mine and need to replace it.

Geoff,

I just did a search for "nikon body cap" at Vanbar. Two hits ranging from $4.50 for ?? to $12.00 for BF-1. Mine has no part no. on it so I have no idea which it is.

Cheers

I believe the body cap for the DF70 is BF-1A.
I think that Nikon body caps were originally BF-1, and the new number is specific to the D70 to allow for the different electrical contacts.

Thanx guys, just did a search on ebay, none in AUS that I can see, will check out my local camera house and see how much they want to rip me off. :)

The right part number is BF-1A
BF-3A will fit the lens mount but the BF-1A won't fit or fit the TC but can't not remove it after, I told many members before, so don't mix.
