Exposure Compensation help

I haven't had the time to upload pics yet, but ill do that tomorrow.

Question is this.
For every compensation value of 0.5+ that's equivalent to a half stop increase isn't?
I took some test shots today from 0.0 thru to 3.0+ in increments of half.
0.5...1.0...1.5...2.0...2.5...3.0...
and not CHANGES were visible in the pictures.

Weren't the images supposed to get brighter as I increased the EV in half-stops?
Using the D70 btw...
Thanks.
I was in Manual Mode and still nothing, after doing another test shoot yesterday afternoon.
Must be something in the menus...anyone know specifically what my menu settings should be? figured i'd ask before checking my manual, plus i'm at work now
again...thanks....

If you are in manual mode, the aperture and shutter speed will be fixed to what you set it. It will change the metering indicator in your viewfinder, but will not change the values for you.
Exposure compensation will only work in P, S & A modes.
Hope that helps
