Adobe Photoshop Academic Edition question

Hi,

I vaguely remember seeing a post on this some time back. My apologies, I tried to search it with no luck.

Is it legal to install PSCS acedemic edition on 2 PCs ? Is there any catch or special condition anybody aware of ?

I think Photoshop, regardless of the edition you've bought it in, is legal for 2 PC's.

I just checked the license on my educational version and clause 2.4 would seem to suggest that you can install it on a second computer (e.g. a laptop) as long as the two copies are not used at the same time...

The primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a Portable Computer or a Computer located at his or her home, provided the Software on the portable or home Computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer.

Yep... I think that it's designed so that people can take a copy of the package that their boss bought to "continue work" at home.

What sort of use did you have in mind?

Hobby photography. Cant really justify the full purchase. One of me mates approached me with the query re legal on 2pcs with a view to share the costs. But from the licencing conditions, its NOT going to work.

You can install on 2 or 3 or 4 PCs, but two PCs is official, if you need to install more than two PCs, then give Adobe a call with your excuse.

The other is illegal: by taking a waiting time down the track and install it later, same as Win XP or MS Office.
