Looking to get a fisheye. Anyone have one? Nikkor or Sigma?

Any images to share?

Cheers

birddog does indeed have one and you can no doubt have a play if you go to a meet. There are a few pics posted around here using this lens. I know Onyx posted a few as did Killa and Matt K from memory.

i just bought the 10.5 DX fisheye and am verry happy with it. i looked at a few other lenses but with the 1.5x crop on the d70 this is the only lens that was a proper fisheye "16mm equiv" if thats not important to you maybe the 12-24 mm would be a better option. but then again maybe not :)

The NIKON 10.5mm 2.8 is an excellent lens. So much potential for use. Looks great. The minimum focussing distances is something best seen to be believed, you can get so close you can can nearly touch your subject.

Here are some examples.

In the pic of lenses below, the 10.5mm is the leftmost lens so you can see how small it is compared with other lenses. :)

I own the both the Sigma 15mm and 8mm fisheyes. The 15mm while very sharp is only slightly fisheyed and results in some very subtle curvature which actually looks quite good.

The 8mm is very fisheye. Even with the 1.6x crop factor I still get a full circular image horizontally and slightly cropped vertically. I really like this lens and you get some great effect, but it is a little bit soft. You can't expect sharp images at 8mm though. The images below have been cropped a bit to get rid of some of the blackness.
