Don't think I'll be moving far from my much cherished Illustrator (and Photoshop of course!) too soon.

Microsoft really is trying to conquer every corner of the software market.

I wonder if any of their new ventures will end up as good software products? I won't expect decent pricing either way.

Thanks CC. Sounds a lot like ACD system's Canvas program whch sels for US$350 and comes in both Mac & PC variants and has been arround for at least 10 years. Wonder just how much M$ expect to sell this thing for?

and on the other side....

Wouldn't it be nice for The Gimp to be the open source equivalent this new Microsoft software like Firefox is for IE or Open Office for Word. As much as I like Gimp, it's not in the same class as PS, in my experience so far.....

But it's always good to see the open source communities giving Microsoft some real competition....

And I note you need to have Service Pack 2 installed for the new software to work....

Parasites!

Why don't they just buy Adobe and bundle PS with Windows? Why don't they just buy the US Supreme Court and bundle it with Windows?
