Have you sold, donated photos?Just curious. By donating I mean things like shooting friends weddings etc...
When I say sold I also mean not for profit (ie paying costs) so if any money passes hands consider it as selling New page

Have donated and sold photos. Some were sold at fair trade price and others sold in the sense of photographing friends' homes etc...and charging for costs plus a small mark-up.
I have also donated my services for the past few years to the United Way campaign in our area. By getting to know local business leaders through that venue, I have actually been hired to do several well paying photo shoots. Regards,
Andy

All my assignments or event shooting for charity & religion organizations, of course never asking pay or get paid, and always are my pleasures. Birddog114

Same same.
I've taken plenty of photos for clubs and organisations i have been a member of and not been pay a brass razoo for any of it. I just do it because i am a nice guy. (Yeah right, says who?) I have also taken semi-pro photos of friends so they can frame them for posterity. (They provided the film and processing, i supplied the camera time.) Besides i am an amatuer. I enjoy taking photos and sharing them with people. If they like them, then all the better. Steve.

a bit of both,
i usually give some small res cd galleries of pics from birthdays/parties to the hosts. and offer prints if they're interested. I also provide pics to my local uni racer. But i have managed to sell some pics to a couple of magazines. Life's pretty straight without drifting

I did some family gatherings, functions and events... though they're largely unappreciated, so I think I won't bother anymore.
I also sometimes get asked by a friend to cover alternative-health expo's and stuff, and get my admission paid for - so I guess that's payment!
