I met Gary yesterday and asking him we may have a section called Meet Report.
In these reports we will have a brief report (highlight) of the meet and photos posted, same as posting some reviews of new equipments and ideas of other members.
So other members who are not attending can have some looks and have some ideas of each meet.

As far as I known,
- We will have some "product shoot": Our Polo Shirt with D70Users.com logo.
- Bargain merchandises with special discount prices for attending members.
- Taking photos with other member's lenses and sharing experiences.
- Talking and discussion about Post Processing in NC and PSPSCS
- Printing, monitor calibrated with Spyder (Gary).
- View & test some setup of new equipments of members: tripod, ballhead, etc.. and discussion pros and con.
- Talk and discuss about organize future regular meet (monthly) for all members.

Refreshment, Lunch.
If members have any other ideas, please make your contribution.

What more could we want? Sounds very good.

I like the idea of a report for those who cant attend, either due to geography or other commitments

Hi Birddog

I know you are sold out but my spirit is going to be there :D There's no limit on spirits is there? :D

So make sure you tell me when it is my shout and have one for me.

A meeting report section sounds terrific.

Hope you all have a terrific time

Cheers

Graham

I'll bring along some snacky treats... Any attendees have seafood allergies?

Also, bring all your SB800's - we'll see how many we can hook up and have fire all at once. ;)

It's going to be a fantastic meet. I'm envious of all you guys going.

Although, if I did go I imagine it would be very expensive for me and potentially harmful to my marriage as I would probably end up buying:

SB800
Nikkor 50mm f1.4
Gitzo Carbon fibre nuclear reactor proof tripod

My camera gear and I would be sleeping in the shed for a month after that!

Ajo43,
You have to make it one day near and welcome you to any future meet.

Ditto me Jonesy, I'd love to go, but it is difficult from Melb :)

The potential for marriage damaging purchases is high. I impressed my wife last weekend by getting the the 50mm f1.8 for $195, and explaining how much money I had saved. She asked me if I was planning to save any more money, and I was happy to discuss the enormous savings on the SB 800 through Mr Poon. :)

Love your description of the Gitzo - post holocaust, there will be nothing left but cockroaches and Gitzos.

Worry not Birdy, it is all good. :)

We all know that a man with a toy is a happy man = a better husband = a happy wife. Well, that's my story anyway, and I'm sticking to it
