Storing and Reviewing Files

Postby wmaburnett on Tue Jun 28, 2005 7:09 am

I think i am going to start using RAW mode in my camera, i have just bought this camera and i love it but the thing i am worried about is, that if i start shooting RAW mode how can i review and know which images are what? i have several external drives i save my Jpegs in right now from previous cameras, and i can just click thumbnail and view them all, or i also have a printer where id just stick the memory car din and itd print me a simple contact sheet, id like to do that but i dont think it would read NEF, how do you guys store and review your images? and Still keep the original NEF file?
Thanks!
~William

Try shooting NEF + JPG; that will solve your printing problems.

For storage, consider the purchase of a DVD burner; you can chew through your available storage quite quickly once you start shooting NEF.
