RRS Slider PlatesI have two slider rails from RRS, the MPR and the MPR-II I believe they are (fozzie you can help me out to which I have )
Just a question, I've tried both with my 18-70MM lens and they both work fine, even though they suggest the MPR-II for 100MM+ lenses. I've tried the MPR-II at shortest focal length on my 18-70MM lens and I can't see the edge. Has anybody tried it with 12MM focal length? The other question I guess is, what is the issue with using the longer rail with shorter focal lengths? Shadow visible from longer rail if lighting is from behind? Need to know because I was considering selling the MPR to anybody on this forum, would sell for $100 (ex shipping). Price brand new is $150 + shipping + gst from RRS in the states. Edit It's the MPR-CL and MPR-CL II Darryl (aka Kipper)

Sorry Kipper, too worried about friends in London to be watching the board or worrying about commercial matters. Must not have made myself clear in the first post.
